Fleet & Destination JOB AIDS
LINDBLAD-National Geographic EXPEDITIONS
While working on the sales team at Lindbald-National Geographic, a large expedition travel company, I recognized a need for cohesive documents that detailed our fleet and destinations.
To increase team knowledge and efficiency, I created informative and easy-to-reference job aids. These documents enabled employees to quickly provide clients with accurate information of highly-detailed products.
With this project, the main challenge was the amount of information spread across various sources: the company’s Knowledge Base system, website, and training documents. For this reason, it was necessary to discover all the information available, research what was most important to the sales team, and parse it into cohesive documentation.
For this project, I:
Conducted product research using internal and external sources
Assessed team’s highest needs and disseminated research to create concise yet informative documents
Utilized UX design principles to create and design job aids
Used design elements, such as headings and hierarchy for quick scanning, external links to website, and internal links to Knowledge Base and intranet
