The last few months have been busy, busy, BUSY.
Between starting down a new career path, moving to the big city, relishing in all the summer activities, and of course exploring new places – it’s been a whirlwind to say the least.
I feel like I’ve been barely keeping my head above water with all the new changes going on, but I have also been fully embracing the winds of change and I am in a fantastic place (literally and figuartively). I am surrounded by supportive, fun, weird, loving people who want to see me succeed; I enjoy the work I do immensley; moving to Seattle was an easier transition than I expected and I absolutely love it up here; I’ve been able to travel this year far more than anticipated and what’s not to love about that?
Things are really good. BUSY. But good!
That being said, I’ve back-burnered a few of my favorite things through all the go-go-go madness and now that I feel like I can breathe a bit again, I am being intentional about getting back into the thick of all the things I love. Recently I got my bike back so I’ve been riding around and exploring my new neighborhood; I signed up for a rock climbing class with REI and hope to get into a new recreational activity that will push me physically; new watercolor paint and notebooks were bought the other day and I can’t wait to break them in; and I’ve definitely not hiked as much as I planned on, but today I will be going to Mt. Rainier for stargazing!
Things are in motion and it feels mighty good!
Obviously I’d also like to get back into writing, but let’s be real, I’m slower than a sleepy turtle at making posts happen on a regular basis. Because of this, I thought I’d start off strong with a quick snippet about all the summer festivities that have been had thus far.
