Hello Indonesia, I’m Baaaaack!

I’ve been busy frolicking around Indonesia and sometimes pictures are equally as wonderful words, so to keep it simple, this is what I’ve been up to the past two weeks!

JAKARTA

We the Fest Music Festival. Got my music fix and saw Seattle’s very own Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the third time!

National Monument. Drank in the 360 degree views of the city from waaaaay up there.

Embraced my inner celebrity. Light-skinned Westerners are still a novelty to locals so naturally I was asked to have my picture taken no less than four times a day. This time around I was even asked my autograph. Step aside Brad Pitt, there’s a new sheriff in town!

Celebrated Indonesia’s Independence Day. Apparently potato sack races are a patriotic staple in more than just America, who knew?

Became friends with the hostel’s resident cat: Because I just really don’t know how to not hangout with cats. (But just look at that face!)

BANGKA BELITUNG ISLAND

Bangka Botanical Garden. Peaceful escape from the city complete with cows!

Beach Day. Deserted beaches, clear blue water, sunshine and coconuts. Basically all I need in life rolled into one day of perfection.

BALI
Sunset. Busy beaches but breathtaking views.

UP NEXT:

Bali Wildlife Rescue Center. Where I’ll be volunteering for the next 2 weeks!
